Chapter - 1 Introduction to Computers | EduNotes

Types of Computers

Computers ko unke working method, size, speed aur capacity ke basis par classify kiya jaata hai. Ye topic exam me bahut frequently poochha jaata hai.

1. Computers Based on Type of Operation

Analog Computers

Analog computers real-world physical values par kaam karte hain, jaise temperature, speed aur pressure. Ye continuous data handle karte hain.

Ye computers comparatively slow aur less accurate hote hain, isliye sirf specific tasks ke liye use kiye jaate hain.

Examples: Thermometer, Speedometer

What is Continuous Data?

Continuous data wo data hota hai jo smoothly change hota rehta hai, jaise temperature 30°C se 31°C hona.

Digital Computers

Digital computers binary number system par kaam karte hain, jisme sirf 0 aur 1 ka use hota hai. Aaj ke time ke almost saare computers digital hote hain.

Ye computers fast, accurate aur reliable hote hain aur schools, offices, banks aur homes me widely use hote hain.

Examples: Calculator, Digital Watch, Desktop Computer

What is Binary Number System?

Binary number system ek system hota hai jisme sirf do digits hote hain: 0 (OFF) aur 1 (ON). Computer isi language ko samajhta hai.

Hybrid Computers

Hybrid computers, analog aur digital computers ka combination hote hain. Ye continuous aur binary dono type ke data ko handle kar sakte hain.

Inka use un situations me hota hai jahan accuracy ke saath real-time data bhi important hota hai.

Example: ICU (Intensive Care Unit) machines

Why ICU machines are Hybrid?

ICU machines patient ka temperature aur BP jaise analog data measure karti hain aur use digital form me convert karke screen par display karti hain.
